LEGO® Serious Play® workshops

LEGO® Serious Play® is a structured facilitation method that helps teams think differently, work through complexity and make shared decisions. Mara delivers hands-on workshops that unlock deeper thinking, improve collaboration and support clearer, more confident outcomes.

What we do

Using structured building, storytelling and metaphor, participants explore challenges, test ideas and build shared understanding. The approach creates a level playing field, ensuring all voices are heard and enabling insights that are often difficult to surface through traditional discussion-based workshops.

Workshops are designed around your objectives and tailored to the audience, context and decisions required.

Facilitation is led by Kelly Lofberg [link to profile page], a qualified LEGO® Serious Play® facilitator, who guides participants through a clear, structured process that encourages honest conversation, creative problem solving and constructive challenge.

Sessions support teams to move beyond assumptions, align around priorities and translate ideas into practical, agreed outcomes. Outputs are captured and synthesised into clear insights, actions or next steps so the value of the workshop extends beyond the room.

Where this approach works best

  • Strategy and direction setting

  • Team alignment and collaboration

  • Navigating complex or uncertain challenges

  • Project planning and early-stage decision-making

  • Culture, values and ways of working

  • Cross-disciplinary or multi-stakeholder groups

"In the fast pace world of professional sport, taking time to understand what makes a team and individuals tick and what is going to hold them together through the ups and downs in a season is critical.

Mara Consulting helped us break down barriers, set goals, give our younger players a voice they maybe didn’t realise they had and visualise our success both on and off the field.

I had my doubts about using LEGO in a workshop but it is a great tool for getting a team to work together. It was an extremely rewarding exercise for players and the coaching staff."
